Continuous learning and improvement

Policy evaluation for continual improvement is an essential part of just energy transitions. However, in government departments and research institutions, there is often more focus on how policy solutions are designed than in studying how they work and where opportunities exist to improve them in context.

Our first aim is to form a continuous learning cycle for policy-makers that encompasses ex-post evaluation and improvement.

In addition, we are interested in comparative policy analysis between jurisdictions, particularly regarding South-South learning.

China Emissions Trading System

We recently worked with an author from the International Carbon Action Partnership to write a report about the China Emissions Trading System, documenting the history of the system so far. We hope this will be the first step toward creating a dialogue and research process to shape future evolution of this system.
